CUSTOM CROSS SHOES: Check out my fly Shimano Carbon off road shoe: I took a pair of old Shimano Carbon road shoes to the local cobbler and he put some Vibram soles on the bottom. He did such a great job on the detail work that I might wear these out on the town. Think Doc Martens with cleats. Cost: $40/ Coolness Factor: Priceless

These are so F#cking sweet! We need to figure out a way to mount some toe spikes though..?
The more significant point of interest here however is that the shoes are actually muddy. With dirt. From the woods. What I'm geting at here is that I was a participant of and witness to an off-road bicycle ride with mister "I don't ride off-road" himself just the other night. It was dark, there was snow, and fun was had. I think he even called to get me to go again the next day!
Those are pretty f'ing cool! Great idea.
