WORTH THE READ, McGOVERN RESPONDS TO CHENEY:
No comment from me other than that I think some good points are made in this Op-Ed piece by 1972 Democratic Presidential nominee George McGovern in the LA Times and I think that it is worth the read.

Pretty good piece. George gets an A- only due to his low road comment "On second thought, maybe it's wise to keep Cheney off the battlefield — he might end up shooting his comrades rather than the enemy." Otherwise factual and to the point.

One must beg the question though, if we did pull out of Iraq and leave them to fend for themselves and their civil war, how would the Arab street as well as the rest of the world view us and how do we repair our self-inflicted damage?
